Puteti defini un frame inline cu tag-ul HTML <iframe>. Acest tag nu este face parte din familia frameset-urilor, de fapt acest tip de frame p[oate fi postat oriune in documentul HTML. Tag-ul <iframe> defineste o zona in documentul html in care va fi afisat alt document html, un alt document care poate avea atat border-uri cat si scrollbar-uri. Atributul src este folosit pentru a specifica URL-ul documentului ce va fi afisat in iframe.

Atribute
Atributele acestuit tag (name, class, frameborder, id, longdesc, marginheight, marginwidth, name, scrolling, style,si title ) sunt similare cu cele din cazul tag-ului <frame>.

| src | In acest atribut este specificata locatia documentului html care va fi incarcat. |
| name | Numele unui frame. Acest atribut este important in cazul in care doriti sa faceti link-urile dintr-un frame sa se deschida in altul. |
| frameborder | Acest atribut specifica daca va exista un border tridimensional intre frameuri. Acesta are 2 valori 1 si 0 (1 avem border si 0 nu avem border). |
| marginwidth | Acest atribut represinta spatiul dintre border si continutul frame-ului in stanga/dreapta. Valoare trebuie specificata in pixeli. |
| marginheight | Similar cu marginwidth, numai ca aici setam distanta sus/jos. |
| noresize | Acest tag se foloseste pentru a interzice redimensionarea unui frame. Exemplu folosire: noresize=”noresize” |
| scrolling | Acest atribut specifica daca sunt permise scrollbar-urile in frameuri. Poate avea 2 valori, “yes” si “no”. |
